SandDisk Extreme v30 256GB x4
SandDisk Extreme v30 128GB x4
Initially purchased for Fujifilm X-T5 prior to the move to Sony. Angelbird has facilitated a Pro 256GB V90, and Sony a TOUGH 128GB V90. Both will be tested and compared before a decision to upgrade is made. For context 3x Pro 256GB would cost 777 USD (24,000 THB) plus shipping and import tax. However, volume and redundancy are currently prioritised as a set of four 256GB Extreme v30s will cost less than half the price of one Angelbird and a quarter a Tough, as of today the choice would be to replenish existing cards for fresh units. Media is a consumable, and when the consumable is the price of infrastructure that is not the prudent choice for investment. Angelbird has been kind enough to facilitate a unit for test and comparison when it is only SSD storage that was requested as support for Discover Temples of Thailand. Despite test units, locking in modern Sony systems means that a future move to CFexpress v4 Type A (such as Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress A 512 GB at 390 USD per unit) is a unilateral improvement over SD, despite the cost increase.

Backup and archival storage is subject to degradation, but is long-term infrastructure. An enterprise NAS running raid is costly, but would be the next move once funding matches outlay. Until that time, manual duplicates are a 100% failsafe, without needing enterprise support, recovery or trust in automation.
